Music for All is an organization that promotes experimentation for developed musicians and fundamentals for aspiring music lovers from the first steps of music basics and beyond.
Miyoung Kim Dempsey is the captain behind the keys, and her insistence for beginners to fully complete and comprehend each week's lesson is paramount. Once the student has acquired the patience, a tonal ear, and recognition of style through practice, the young student will soon be equipped to choose musical compositions that represent the musician and her/his style.
Brand New Verve
For the more experienced musician, the real fun begins in the multi-room practice spaces. Music for All has brand new Steinway pianos for all enrolled musicians seeking more time searching for the sound of their personal musical expression. If a room is empty, Miyoung Kim Dempsey allows enrolled players to walk in and practice their chops, even if they are not scheduled for a lesson that day.
The freedom to search for a sound on a variety of pianos is a musician's paradise. Surrounded by top-notch teachers with space to stretch musical boundaries are privileges musicians should not take for granted.
Classes and Lessons
Tuition registration is $35 and lesson fees are determined by the skill set of the student--beginner, intermediate, or advanced. Teacher Appreciation
There are numerous methods of teaching music, reading scores, and technique – but providing young musicians with tools to establish a solid foundation for music appreciation and enjoyment is the ultimate goal.
Ten teachers with various expertise on particular instruments, masters ranging from modern vocals to sax and piano, dedicate their talent and carry on songs to aspiring musicians of all ages.
Miyoung Kim Dempsey's story of perseverance and musical dedication is visceral, bittersweet, courageous and inspiring. As a young girl, her passion to read and compose music, perform and share her love of song, was suppressed--but she knew her passion was too heavy to ignore.
This did not stop her from honing her craft, sharing her knowledge, lighting a fire for young talent and teachers in Charlotte to follow their dream and perfect their passion.
